If the resident has been skilled since December her 100 days should soon be exhausted
if not already exhausted, so make sure to count them up. If the resident will
continue to receive skilled services in your facility for a condition that was treated
in the 3 day qualifying stay or during the skilled stay at the other facility and it
is within 30 days of the end of her skilled stay at the other facility, you can skill
her. Check the amount of days left though, I bet that they used all 100 before
sending her off to you.

Subject: Is resident still skilled under Medicare?
We have a resident who came from another nursing facility, had 2 nights in the
hospital, however the other facility was skilling her for her 3 day back in Decemeber.
Are we able to continue to skill her for that stay in December also?
