you need to review your QI's-each one that is flagged needs to be reviewed for accuracy and check to see that a cp is in place for each resident that triggers (I do this for all QI's that flag 75 or greater)-make sure that you look at the resident listing-the last column gives you a number-this number tells you how many areas each resident triggered in.  The state is more likely to review those resident's with the highest # on this last column.  this is not 100% guaranteed, but it will give you an idea of who to focus on -this goes for the discharged residents to- the state also, will review those flagged items and will probably review the charts of those residents who were included in that flagged trigger=hope this isn't to confusing

Do you know the procedure that the State Surveyor's use to determine who they will pick to monitor when they survey a faciltiy using the QI indicators -  or is that something that the surveyor's keep to themselves?
