CMS Announces Medicare Listening Session on Performance Measures CMS has published a notice announcing the first in a series of listening sessions to discuss next steps in the development of an expanded set of performance measures for public reporting on the quality of hospital care (69FR15884). Healthcare consumers, payers, plans, providers, purchasers, and other interested parties are invited to attend this session to present their individual views. Such input will assist the Medicare program in its collaboration with the National Voluntary Hospital Reporting Initiative as well as in other hospital quality reporting and improvement efforts. Attendance is free and open to the public but advance registration is strongly encouraged. The listening session will be held on April 27 from 9 to 12 at the Hilton Logan Airport in Boston, MA.
