please help me think this through. A resident admitted with Medicare A has 100 days available. qualified for 5 days at least. Prostrate CA with bone mets receiving rads 5xweekly outpt.and anti neoplastic meds 7 days weekly. I know radiation TX alone doesn't skill him. under nsg observation can I skill him for longer related to pain management / side effect observation. The thing is he has a steady gait, independent ADL"S and pain is controlled on str analgesia. Should he be cut after 5 days? he is a target r/t psych dx/background. please respond quickly.
