No.  The meds are coded according to classification.  Since Klonipin is an anticonvulsant, then it would not be coded as an antianxiety.  You just need to include in raps where appropriate and care plan as appropriate.

What is the actual classification of these drugs?  Are they hypnotics, antianxiety's, anticonvulsants?  On MDS do we code according to use?  If I look Klonopin up in PDR it is listed as anticonvulsant, resident is on this drug for anxiety.  Do I code she has received antianxiety over the last 7 days in section O?  Thanks for the help.
