If you already started the assessment, you should keep what you have, but
you are not required to start or complete an admsision assessment for a
resident that dies the first day. Submit a Discharge Prior to Initial
Assessment. (D8)

I,too,have about 3 residents that request siderails dispite any education we
have done.Don't know a reg that prohibits them per request.
