Subject: skilling for arterial
ulcers
We have a Med A resident admitted on 3/3 with a diagnosis of
respiratory failure, s/p mechanical ventilation. Her last therapy day was
4/7. She has two stage II arterial ulcers on her lower extremity
which we are treating plus we are doing diabetic teaching to assure a safe
discharge. She has been an insulin dependent diabetic for 30 yrs, however she
has had some short term memory problems since this illness and is exhibiting
difficulties with the SQ injection. How long can she be skilled under Med
A? Thanks in advance, Sharon
