Hi Karen. I can't
think of anywhere one would specifically code Bucks traction on the MDS
either. It would be something to Care Plan of course. The effect it
has on the patient's mobility will be captured in G.
The only place in the
manual that I remember when traction is discussed is under restraints. The
reference is in Chapter 3 on page 199. It states to EXCLUDE from section
P4 ..."traction...that are serving in their usual capacity to meet medical
need."
