Subject: d/c from med a to hosp and retrun non med a

I know if a resident is d/c'd prior to completion while in a Medicare bed and they return to Medicare you do a return admission assessment and use the prior admit date.  I have a resident who was on Medicare and had a 5 day PPS done and d/c prior to completion to hospital.  She then returned but to a non Medicare bed.  Do I use the prior admit date in this instance too?  Thanks.
