HELP. I need some back up documentation that states that a person
does not get to use the rest of their Medicare days if they discharge from
Medicare bed with g-tube feeding that meets skilled criteria, before they use
their 100 days.
It was my understanding that those days are not allowed back to you because
you do not get a 60 day break of wellness as long as you are in a SNF and
receive tube feedings that meet skilled criteria.
I need to educate billing dept and I know that they will want something in
black and white before they will believe me.
Does anyone know where I can access this info to show to billing
dept.
