Hmm, no idea. Would be probably fine if you "rpm -Uvh" the package and it does not complain about missing dependencies, but then again who knows, it might make the whole computer dissapear in a puff of smoke.... :-) If you try that make sure you also download the -devel and -doc packages and upgrade what you have installed all at once (all installed packages in the same rpm invocation).
