im baffled by this one, the only way it could be appearing in the grace console is if Grace was actually loading a file. Do you have any init files or instrument files that are getting autoloaded at startup? If so, you might try tossing the Grace application support directory that contains its Grace.xml preference file , on Linux I think the directory will be called ~/Grace/ . then when you restart grace it will create a new one with defaults in place.
