Meghann,   I had my meeting about two weeks ago and the best advise I had prior to my meeting was to have a tape recorder with me during that first visit. Of course, you must ask for his permission to record him, and given it is for your personnal use as your meeting with him is confidential, it shouldn't be a problem. Personnally, I found that we have so many questions and our mind is spinning so fast that I was afraid to miss important information. That way, I was less stressed, didn't have to bother taking notes, or thinking of the next question instead of listening to the answer and was just overall in a more receptive frame of mind.
