Have you consulted with any of the CML experts such as Talpaz, Druker, etc. or looked at the trials for any of the new drugs? Still don't know what it was, but they did a whole bunch of tests and released me. Just wanted you all to know they are really, really pushing me to BMT. I am so upset and angry. I made the choice of no BMT 4 years ago and am sticking to it. but the doctors are sick of my bone pain issues and want me to get a bmt. I am adamant NO BMT. Now they want me to see a psychiatrist. Brother. If that wasn't enough, my insurance carrier said they dropped us. So for 5 days I luckily used my Medicare part A & B but that doesn't cover the cost of the drugs (morphine, ativan, compazine, etc.) Finally today I got it all straightened out and now I am covered because they legally cannot just drop a member from an HMO without offering them a. notification in writing, and b. have to offer Cobra.  Which they didn't so you can see I was extremely anxious about the whole thing. Well, I at least got 3 days' much needed rest and TLC and now I am off to battle more doctors against BMTing. HELP. I need some support that what I am doing is right,....the right to stay alive on Gleevec, no matter the bone pain issues, I think it is a lot better than going to a BMT with no matched sibling donor, right? - Thanks, guys.
