I am meeting with the BMT group at Stanford in the next week. Does anyone have an opinion re: Stanford--and allogenic transplants. My sister is a 6 out 6 match. I am 37. DX. 1-04. Gleevec--500mg. Also, if you have any questions that you'd recommend that I ask.
Also, Dr. Martin at UCSF BMTclinic mentioned that people whose wbcs drop in the first 3 months and who have to go off Gleevec for 4-5 weeks, generally do not respond to Gleevec at the yr. end point.
