Rob,
I normally try to ignore these discussions but I don't want to see
out freedom to decide for ourselves what is important or relavent
lost. I think the suggestion of one email summarizing all is a good
idea as it will limit the download time for those on smaller
connections.

I think we should continue to be able to post relavent items and
things of a political nature can be relavent. I don't read
everything if it interess me I read further, if not I delete.

As others have said we should retain the right to choice and
everyone can choice what to read and what to delete.

in all fairness posts regarding LLS and their spokesman Rush
Limbaugh who has anti-democracy, anti-minority views of hate also
should not be posted. Many in this group post about LLS events and
fundraising on a frequent basis.

kinds on Gleevec, Medicare, and other issues. One of the efforts of
this group was the Access to Cancer Therapies Act of 2003 and a lot
of effort was made by this group with petitions and lobbying members
of Congress. One of the people who agreed to co-sponsor and
introduce this bill which became law was Sen. John Kerry.

not want to see posts from medical newswires that mention Kerry's
name even though he is someone who has directly helped CML patients
in this group in the past.

could easily be resolved. She could simply post the entire text to
CMLTalk and then post one daily message on CML with a list of
articles she has posted to CMLTalk. That would eliminate any
problems with those who claim to receive too much mail.

considered political. If Kerry's name cannot be mentioned in this
group then neither can Bush's name. If there can be no posts on
Medicare and healthcare issues then no further advocacy in the way
of petitions and lobbying will be possible. If moderate views cannot
be expressed then no longer can LLS and Rush Limbaugh etc. be
mentioned either.
