I used to be very thick skinned, cuts and scrapes healed
quickly, bleeding stopped in seconds usually. It was a good thing,
because I was a carpenter and always getting cuts slivers and
bruises. Then I got cml and my skin became so thin and easily
damaged I could no longer effectively do carpentry. Any little cut on
the hands would mean I would have to stop working untill it healed or
there would be blood all over my project. I also get skin rashes. I
originally thought it might be caused by Intrferon, but when I
switched to Gleevec it didn't improve. It is probably something I
will just have to live with,as doctors don't seem too concerned about
it. I try not to do anything that is hard on the hands, or at least
wear gloves more often. This has been my experience, perhaps others can
suggest something more helpful.----------
