My wife, Nancy, was dxed in 1999 and has been on Gleevec from its
start. She was CCR, but has recently gone out, FISH test showing
23%. Her doctor at Dana Farber said she mignt need to try something
else. He told us that DF is going to be starting two new trials.
One is an experimental drug, RAD001 from Norvartis. It is a pill
that will be taken with Gleevec. Another is an agent called CNF1010
that will be taken intraveniously without Gleevec. Both are for
persons that are Gleevec resistant and not in CCR.

Nancy has been on 800mg for several months and seems to have some new
side effects, real tight, ichy scalp and her hair seems to be
thinning. She also sometimes gets kind of tingley and nervous.
Could be someting else, other than Gleevec.

Any thoughts or comments welcome
