Yesterday I
celebrated my 6th year of being diagnosed with CML.
So it is time for an
update.
The results of my last PCR were disappointing, it
has gone up from 0.6 to 0.845.
My BMB still shows that I am in CCR, so that was
good news.
A whole year of HHT and 800mg Gleevec brought my
PCR down from 1.2 to 0.845.
I went through hell with the HHT for
0.355.
I have stopped the HHT and Gleevec as a combo, I am
only to take 800mg Gleevec.
I do not qualify for any other trial as
yet.
My English doctors do want to try and do a
harvest again, this will be my 3rd try.( first
two attempts were here in Holland)
This will take place in London.
I will be stopping my Gleevec on the 31st Dec, the 1st and the 2nd of Jan I will do 2
days of HHT chemotherapy to surpress all my counts.
I will injecting G-CSF on the 3rd Feb '05, travel
to London on the 6th and get on the machine on the 7th, 8th and the
9th.
I will be stopping Gleevec for about 6 weeks, I
know I hear ye all screaming, that it is a risk to stop the Gleevec, but it is
a risk I have to take.
I do not have any kind of donor, so I need a
back-up.
Take care, Tracey
