It sounds like you had cml a while before they caught it.
They caught mine early, as my Dr. said my counts were perfectly fine 6 months before.
I had chills and fever; one of the worst chills I ever had was after coming home from the hospital.
I would get under my electric blanket and try to get warm.
My spleen never got really large but I did hurt on my side when turning over in bed.
