Hi Nancy, Starting Gleevec is a journey in itself; I never have taken the 800mgs so I can't tell you about that, but the 400 I take leave me with a few side effects; swollen eyes, fatigue, yeast infections and more. It takes the body a while to adjust to the meds. I send my blessings to you and pray you will battle this disease with success.
