I think he needs information and the more he has the better he will respond to his cml.
This list is the best place to get informed; I found out more on the list than my Dr ever told me.
I think we are all a little depressed from this disease but we are still alive and kicking and hoping for a good life even if we have cml.
Taking each day as it comes and not worrying about tomorrow has helped me a lot.
After all, people are getting killed daily from everything to car accidents to floods and earthquakes and etc.
I was watching a show the other day and the man was talking about his wife having to visit a home for children that were so sick they couldn't live at home anymore; this was for her college course; she said there was a little boy who had no arms, no legs and just a little stump of a body. No one had ever been able to get through to this child; but it was her assignment so she started spending some time with him daily; he would just scream and was so upset with life; everyday she would talk to him and pray with him; finally one day, he came and sat in her lap and lay his head on her shoulder. They said he started responding to things in a different way after that.
So the world is full of trials and tribulations; we have to keep on keeping on and doing the best we can with what we've got.
Hang in there; it will get better.
