Hi Charmine,
I am 2 yrs post transplant. Symptoms like dry mouth/eyes, reddish/watery
eyes, elevated enzyme are some of the typical GVHD. I had that too. The liver
will go away. It tooke me abt 12 months to get rid of the liver GVHD. As for the
dry mouth, try alcohol free mouth rinse wash. It helps. As for dry eyes, you may
want to try natural tears.
As for duration of when GVHD occurs, it just depends on whether it
is chronic (post >3 months) or acute (1-3 months post transplant). It is
normal for GVHD to occur. The important thing is to get it taken care of with
routine checkup to make sure that they (the GVHD) is
manageable.

I've often thought about Bob and wondered how he was doing. His
Caringbridge site hasn't been updated since November. I hope his
GVH is just a minor nuisance and that he is doing fantastic in every
