Hi Lisa,

Sometimes a BMT is the best option (like with certain mutations or
disease progression).......and at other times, it is simply a choice
that an individual has to make. In these cases, like Dr. Druker
recently told Barb about her son, there is no right or wrong answer.
If either were the perfect solution, the choice would be easy...but
neither is a perfect choice (Gleevec is not because we don't know the
long term results of this drug, or any of the future drugs).

So each person makes their OWN best choice.
I think (and hope others do) that it should be OK for anyone to post
how they feel about the subject........and how you feel is not
controversial.....we each get to have our own feelings about the
subject and there is benefit in sharing them. Because we all know that
we don't get the FULL picture from the doctors.

I think this is a healthy discussion about treatment options and
choice.
