Hi Lindsey, You didn't get the shivers after the apheresis? I live in FL and was dx 1/27/05; put in the hospital right after dx for aphersis. Been on 400 mgs gleevec for about 1 year now and blood counts are all normal. I had most of the side effects but none I couldn't live with and all are better now.  I recently developed some sores that are painful. I just take each day as it comes and live it to the fullest. Tommorrow is yet to come and yesterday is already gone.
