Following the good news about Gleevec working well for me I had some more great news today, the preliminary results from the cygenetics test of my marrow show the VAST majority is normal male, this means the donor cells are replacing the cancer cells in my marrow. The Gleevec is not only controlling the cancer, but allowing my transplanted marrow to dominate again. For those of you who haven't been around for long, I relapsed after a bmt 11 years ago. I had trouble starting gleevec, but have now been on 400mg for around 4 months. At relapse I had 35% my brothers marrow and 65% mine, with 100% ph+ on fish test. Now the bcr able is 1.1 % (instead of 85% at relapse) and although I don't yet lknow the exact figures, most of my marrow is again my brothers. I could not have hoped fpr better news
