Dear Dianne,

I am sorry, also, that your results are disappointing. You are
doing the right thing by being proactive and it is fortunate that
there are several options for you, the easiest being an increase in
your dose of IM. I just wanted to mention a thought that I and
others have brought up before. You may want to have mutations
testing done in the kinase domain to determine the mechanism of
Gleevec resistance. As long as it is not the T315I mutation, there
is a good chance that the BMS drug will work very well for you. In
some cases, an increase in Gleevec dose may overcome resistance or
at the very least buy some time. Knowing the mutation will help you
make some informed decisions and get a head start on the best option.

Best of luck to you.

Warm regards,
Kelly
