Hi Greg and all,
I too have also been pondering the all over effect of IM for long term since it hasn't been around long term.
I believe there are side effects that we don't know about even as I speak.
Everyone reacts to drugs differently and just because so and so had no side effects or mild or etc doesn't mean you won't.
Each case must be individually considered.
This is a drug and even though it is killing the leukies we don't know what else it is doing.
I take it with faith; faith being the hope of things unseen.
Unseen is the key word here.
Blessings to all,
Jeanie<3

Just an FYI concerning the "larger doses may equal greater
consequences down the road" theory.  I have been taking IM for the
last year and a half and doing great.  Almost complete PCR
remission.  But today when I was at my 3 month doctors visit at
MDACC, my doc had me sign off on paperwork indicating some new
findings in rats for IM.  The paperwork stated that for 1200+ mg per
day of IM, that rats showed greatly increased chances of tumor
(malignant and non-malignant) growth.  I'm not too concerned since
I've been taking 800mg from the start but it does make one wonder
when you're set up to take this drug for years on end.

P.S.  Not an expert either.

Greg
