Hello there Mike,
You do have some points, there. I'm happy for your successful BMT. The age limit (is it 55 now?) has been in the back of my mind. I'm 48 now and counting, been on Gleevec for 2 years and there's reason now to believe it's not working as it should. Whilst I'm thrilled about all the things being developed (I might be included in a study), my chances for a successful BMT are, theoretically at least, reducing. Of course there are many in a simular situation. Now, I'm not saying I really would decide for a BMT- I've heard so many sad things about it. (On the other hand, I think of my young family...) But, there's alot of weighing the plus and minuses... And, I suppose a good deal of trusting one's decisions will be the "right ones". All the best!
