Please
keep these two dates available for an exciting event not to be missed!
March 17th, and March 19th, 2005
in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Just
about a year ago I had posted a notice to this group about starting my
own company. It has been an interesting year and I guess as many
entrepreneurs on this list know, starting a company takes a lot of
time, effort and energy. The good news is that the first project I
started to work on at that time, will be launched in March.
It
is a continuing medical educational event for Dr's , scientists,
researchers and other specialists in the field of cancer. The McGill
University Department of Continuing Medical Education accredited event
is called the F.A.C.T. (Future Approaches to Cancer
Treatment) conference and will be held in Montreal from March
17 - 19th. The conference will allow the faculty and invited
speakers to address the latest technological advancements in the
treatment of breast, colon, prostate, brain, skin and hematological
cancers.
It
is unique in that we have added two special events for patient's to
attend "free of charge".
The
first event is a motivational talk by Alan Hobson, Mt. Everest
Summiteer and SCT survivor of AML. I have heard Alan speak and his
breath taking pictures and awe inspiring journey up Mt. Everest was, as
he say's himself, nothing compared to his journey with cancer. After
hearing him, I was moved to tears and determined more than ever to
summit my own Everest - CML.
Thanks
to corporate sponsorship in the form of continuing medical educational
grants, I am very happy to extend an invitation to everyone on this
list Within traveling distance, to join us in Montreal on
Thursday March 17, 2005 for Alan's talk - for free. You must
make and pay for your own travel arrangements and accommodations. Alan
will speak for about an hour and will have a Q & A for about 30
minutes. Please visit Alan's website: www.alanhobson.com
This invitation will also be extended to all cancer patients in
Montreal and environs. There are 750 seats in this state-of-the-art
auditorium. If you wish to attend please send an e-mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
The
second "free" event for patients are simultaneous information sessions
on Saturday March 19th also at the Mount Royal Conference
centre. There will be a very special meeting for
CMLers late in the afternoon. The agenda is not completely
finished, but please keep this date reserved, and I will post more
details as they become available from the conference faculty.
My company,
Strategié de communication Med Summit/Sommets Medical are the
organizers for the conference and related events.
Looking
forward to seeing you there!
Cheers,
Cheryl-Anne
