Hi Geri, 

No, the starting pcr would not be 1.something. It depends on where the 
test is done and for every individual there is some variability. 
For example, Dr. Druker told me that at OHSU, the average pcr for 
newly dx patients is about 4.0 but there is a big range.....which is 
why you can only compare your values to themselves. 
When I am about 30% ph+, my pcr is still about 1.7 to 2.7.......so for 
me he says my starting pcr must have been much higher than 4.0, but we 
don't have it. My starting pcr might have been about 16????  

If you don't have a starting pcr value, just go for pcru!
