There are Trojans out there that could do
this, although I don't think they're very prevalent. It could also be that
you have something set up in scheduled tasks or automated maintenance on your PC
that might need to open a DOS window that could look like that.
If you want to be sure, you should run a
virus scan from an online service like housecall http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ to check your system independently from your current
virus scanner. I would also run Ad-Aware to check and clean any possible
