There is a description of the different phases of CML at http://www.nci.nih.gov/cancertopics/pdq/treatment/CML/Patient/page2 Once you know more about the phase you can then look at what treatment options are available. If you are able to travel to a major CML center such as a M.D. Anderson you might also want to look at having a second opinion Depending on the situation the new BMS and AMN drugs may be something to consider since they are working well on accelerated phase patients.
