I am on 800mg Gleevec and I, too, experience the ears pulsating/throbbing on occassion. I have never mentioned it to my doctor because I didnt make the connection to Gleevec, and it doesnt bother me really. Just one of those curious things. I just returned from MDACC. Wont have bone marrow results for a couple of weeks, but am expecting everything to be just fine...hoping for CMR, but we'll see. Began peg-Intron while there on Friday (in addition to my 800mg Gleevec). It made me feverish and achey both Friday and Saturday. Still feel feverish off and on, but am coping with aleve or ibuprofen. The fatigue is beginning to set in, unfortunately. I will be taking the peg-Intron injections once a week, and lukeine injections three times a week. The lukeine is to boost the immune system. Cant do the injections on myself -- just not into self-inflicted pain. John, however, is enjoying giving the injections to me just a liiiiiitttle too much :) Cant teach my 17 year old daughter - that's just asking for punishment!! But my 12 year old son is still young and sweet enough that perhaps I can teach him! Dane, many congratulations and well-wishes for your continued good health.
