I just wanted to say that I participated in this study. It does require you
to go out to Boston, but as I was not feeling well for the last leg of the study
they actually came out to me at our local library. The test was
interesting. However, I wondered why they did not do a Gleevec or IFN/specific
test. My doctor asked me what "Gleevec brain" was the other day and so that got
me to thinking about the memory study and why they did not ask me what drug I
was taking for CML, and for how long. I would think that impacted the
study?
It was fun to see what my brain was doing over a three year period plus get
paid too. The people conducting the study were very nice people and I
believe it is Dr. Grace Chang that is the study coordinator, and you couldn't
meet a nicer person! If you live in the area go for it! -
