Novartis AG, Switzerland�s largest drugmaker, said all of its late-stage drugs in development are progressing �well� and asked US and European regulators to approve its iron treatment Exjade.

�All of the late-stage projects are progressing well in an increasingly challenging industry environment marked by an intensified focus on drug safety,� Joerg Reinhardt, head of development at Basel, Switzerland-based Novartis said in an e-mailed statement. The company is holding a research presentation on it�s early-stage medicines in Boston on Wednesday.
