Hi to all - I posted a message to the google site when cousin Dona and I returned from Houston, forgetting that there seem to be quite a few people who haven't made the leap. I should have mentioned that I had nothing of consequence to report from her appt. with Dr. Talpaz. He did go on a bit about how the internet groups have changed his outlook. Said that he had one email from someone asking exactly what time he was arriving in some-city- or-other before he even knew he was going there. Didn't sound angry, just bemused. For whatever reason, he does not seem to believe Dona's hair problem. It has gotten progressively thinner over the four years we have been seeing him. Dona asked him whether he knew of any CML patient who had not had a haircut in four years, and he admitted he had not. Hers has been coming out, plus what is left just keeps breaking off. Her BMA is now back and she is still in CCR. However, her PCR which was .001 in Oct. 2004 is now 2.00. She would like to go onto 300 mg (as she did for one whole year), but he said not to do it. We now can report every 6 months. I'll repeat that I had such a treat in meeting Dane and Elizabeth, along with Dane's mother. Even though they had to get to the airport, they made time to come by Rotary House for lunch. I would not let Dona come as she had the sniffles.Dane, I hope your reports are improving. Think about you often. Cheers to all, Avis (Hertz Nurtle)
