Hello everyone, I just wanted to let everyone know that although I do not post on this site I do read all the information. I want to continue being a member of the site in spite of my lack of e-mails. My daughter is 10 and has CML. She was diagnosed in February 2005 with a white blood cell count of 800,000-900,000. We almost lost her to a stroke and the battle since has been difficult. In August we are going to have a BMT (her brother 12) is an exact 12/12 HLA match. God works! She is currently taking 400mg of Gleevac and is doing well. She still experiences bone pain that has required us to home school and monitor daily activity. Our life has altered drastically and we continue to find a way to deal with the emotional, physical, and mental challenging side effects of this diagnosis. The stories on this site offer information to our family that we would not otherwise have. For this I am greatful.
