Banners dotted with handprints brighten the white walls of Portage Health
System.
Each is unique, telling a different cancer survivor's story. Since 1999, survivor's participating in the Houghton area's Relay for Life plunge their hands into pink and purple paint at the beginning of each relay. Alongside the handprints, they write their names - proud of their survival.
