--- Begin Message ---My 22 year old son Matthew is back in the hospital. On Friday he was running a fever and his blood lab results showed that his billirubin is up and had been gradually increasing in the past few outpatient visits to the hospital. His skin graft vs host disease has flared up and it is a possibility that it may be in his liver now also. He has a chronic case of the GVHD of the skin since about one month post BMT, which was in January 2005. He also has chronic sinus infection they say. They are closely monitoring him, giving him additional medicines and they will be doing an ultrasound on his liver tomorrow if the billirubin counts are increasing.
