Hi Gay,     I see in you post that you started Gleevec in DEC of 1999.  I started in a study at Northwestern University in Chicago in Feb of 2000.  Gleevec had not been approved by the FDA yet.  My question is, did you start in some kind of a study also.  At that time in Feb I was told that their were 200 people in the US that Novartis picked to be in this study.   I'm still in this same study but they extended it out to beyond  5 years.  Now I'm also with 300 people from France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.  Because of my age, I turned 66 last month.  Northwestern supplies the Gleevec but I have to pay for my BMB and any other testing.   Thanks,   Dave Greenberg Crown Point, IN.   New!
