That is good to hear that there is a personal connection to that story.

Rob and all,

The Shedds are a special family. Kurt Shedd was in contact with me
during Tom's BMT. Tom had his BMT the day after Kurt's birthday
(5/05/05), but it was originally scheduled for Kurt's birthday-
05/04/05 (happened at 1 a.m. - you know how things go in the hospital).
Kurt sent Tom a 3 foot by 1 foot yellow sign that said "LIVE STRONG".
We put it in our window at Ronald McDonald House in Minneapolis where
the sign stayed until we went home (8/19/05). We passed the sign onto
another family whose son is having a hard time with the transplant.
This family has promised to write their name and the date on the sign
and pass it on. Thanks Kurt and Dana. What a giving and generous
family.
