A New Orleans legislator is making urgent pleas to the media for buses and
gasoline to transport the thousands of people who are still trapped in New
Orleans. On Day 6 there is still apparently no comprehensive plan on the federal
level to transport what people are left living in a city where there are dead
bodies floating in the streets.
For those who want to help the extremely desperate people left trapped in a
city without food and water, many of them poor and elderly, this could
potentially be a method where more people could be evacuated. There are many
organizations and businsses in the public and private sector who have access to
buses and gasoline supplies including corporations, cities and states, schools
and universities, oil companies, wholesalers and distributors, gas station and
