Wow. . . another 'warrior'. . . I only joined this year. I am adding you to my list of brother & sister BMT survivors...I am not a candidate.
I am somewhat of a 'pro' on the protocol for surgical procedures though. Generally, for a minor surgery such as 'Oral' or a 'Out Patient' procedure the 'gold' holiday period is 7 days. Example, I had a joint finger amputation, out patient procedure, 7 day holiday. For more involved surgery's, 14 days was the holiday period. I was told never more than 14 days, unless supervised by the Oncologist with blood count exaluation. I hope this helps, as some have been having a problem contacting with Dr. Drucker lately.
