I just want to share this with you, maybe someone else has already. CMLsupport.com has lots of info. I got me a notebook and it is devoted to everything CML. I wrote down definitions of words such as BMA, BMB, fish, etc. I also get a copy of my tests which include PCR, WBC, RBC, etc. I also wrote down side effects to expect from the Gleevec and then I wrote down the ones I experienced. I also have written down all my meds and what each one is for. I was terrified and any info I could find was enpowerment for me. CML is now a treatable disease just like diabetes or high blood pressure. We have much to be thankful for the introduction of Gleevec. Thank God for Dr. Brian Druker who designed the drug. In spite of it's side effects, it is still not as bad as the traditional intravenous chemo. My notebook also has written details of everything I've experienced whether it be physical or emotional symptoms. This notebook has been my theraphy, so to speak.
