Novartis has informed me that I am eligible for
medicare D and will no longer be eligible for the patient assistance
prescriptions . I am going to attempt to contact a
person in medicare and get bottom lines of cost and then go back to novartis and
see if they can help. I am on disability before cml and I do get medicare
A&B . will let you know what I find out asap in case any of you find
yourself in this mess.
with upto $37 per month and deductible of $250plus
paying 25% of the first $2,250, then paying 100% of the next$2,850.After that
then you get to pay 5% for the rest of year as long as your meds cost over
$5100. WITH GLEEVEC AT $3,190 PER MONTH AT RITE AID . no problem with hitting
$5100. In the 1st two months of the year I will have to pay $4,735.50 , and then
for the last 10 months
$159.50 per month, then start all over again the
next year.
now if I am eligible for PAP how am I going to pay
over $4,000 every year for only Gleevec( This calculations was for Gleevec only,
none of my other meds.) I am hoping I have calculated this wrong and it is much
lower but will let you know.
