I've been taking Gleevec (400 mil) for about six months now & my onc told me that
I'm close to remission but I should give it a year and "wait and see". He just did the
FISH test but I don't know the results yet. Thank God most of the side effects have

most of you??Lora,Clyde was also one of the lucky ones who gained remission after only 3 months on 400 mg of Gleevec. He continues to be in total remission.After hearing everyone else's stories of horrible side effects, we realize how lucky & fortunate he is. He only has edema under both eyes, is constantly very cold and complains of joint aches.I don't post much anymore but I read the Digests everyday and send them to Clyde to read.Our thoughts are with you, Terry and your children & everyone else who is suffering with this awful disease.Our best wishes to everyone for a Merry Christmas & a much better year in 2006.Carol Furumoto
