As some medications that your Doctor prescribes may not be taken with Gleevec; you must be very careful with the herbs and vitamin supplements.
Shortly after my side effects subsided, I tried a Protein drink from GNC, thinking it would be good for me. Did I make a big mistake, I always had chills and night sweats. I would say that my 'blood ran hot, my blood ran cold'. After my one and only Protein drink, 'my blood boiled in my veins' and I had heart palpitations. It was a very scary experience for me. Always remember, each one of us is an individual.
There are "NO" herbal remedy(s) for our bug; some vitamin and mineral supplements are being used by sister & brother survivors. Hopefully someone will give you information on them. Some time ago, the #1 Pharmaceutical Doctor for Gleevec gave a list of the 'approved' herbs and it was
posted. I will send it to you if I am able to locate it.
