Zavie; Hi Its been a while. Joe is the one that went off Gleevec after being on it for 2 yrs. 120 in your club.We went to MD Anderson a year ago. BMS trial to make a long story short he had to leave the trial because of a carotid body tumor. He needed 2 pints of blood which he refused and was put on iron pills. they worked after a month his wbc started to go up. His Onc put him on 3 hydrea that he still is on. His wbc stays between 7-10 ever since. Something in the BMS trial has some kind of something its unreal his Onc is amazed. After 8 gleevec and becoming resistance to it now only 3 hydrea unreal. The BMS drug works we know that and hope it is soon on the market. So how is Giorgi and what about Dane??? is he Ok?? Mary Joe dx 1996 hyrea until gleevec restistance ,back on hydrea
