Hi Jeannie. I was on gleevec for almost 2 years when my platlets started going up. About 4-6 months before they started going up, my fish tests started coming back pos. Low at first and then quite high. I initially started at 600mg gleevec and as soon as my fish started showing a small pos, I increased to 800. I would really try and get a BMB done asap to see what's going on with the marrow. Also, my dr advised me to take an aspirin every day while my platlets were high as there is a high risk of blood clotting and stroke associated with high platlets.
